Is it Product name passed to payment gateway?

    Dear team,

    I want to know what all the information passed to payment gateway while processing payment with gateways like Razorpay, PayU, Phonepe, CashFree, CC Avenue, etc..,

    Is it payment gateways knows about the product name, quantity, description, etc..,?

    Please let me know in detail.

    Currently, we don’t pass product name or quantity to Payment Gateway, but we might change the code and pass these parameters to Payment Gateways. It’s not decided yet.
    Payment Description is passed to Payment Gateways in most of the cases, which generally contains order id, but it can be modified by you.
    What is your exact requirement, do you want to pass these details or not? We can make the changes as per your needs.

    We want to control which information is to be passed to payment gateway. We don’t want to pass the product name, or description passed to payment gateway, as it may lead to privacy concerns for our users.
