Is it possible to use custom field meta data for thepage attributes parent menu?

  • In the page attributes meta box you can select a page’s parent.

    The issue I’m finding is that the page titles, which are used here, can be quite long and not necessarily to-the-point. Is it therefore possible to replace the page titles in the select-menu with custom field meta data, keeping the menu functionality the same?
