Hello, I have an email address hosted by OVH. I added it in Gmail to be able to send and receive mails from it in Gmail. So, in your plugin, is it possible to use the Gmail SMTP for this address or necessary to use them of OVH ?
Thanks a lot for your reply.

  • Hi @halloy,

Thanks for reaching out. You have added your email address in the Gmail alias? With Gmail mailer, you should authorize your Gmail account, but you could send emails with its aliases. Or, if you have integrated your emails with Gsuite, you can absolutely authorize your OVH email with Gmail mailer. In case it helps, here’s our documentation on Gmail maielr.

    I hope this helps!

A very big thanks for your reply. Waiting it, I added a OVH email. Curiously, I can send a test email. Emails about new orders are send. But not other emails. The error is : SMTP error, could not authenticate. Do you have an idea ?
Thanks a lot for your work !

    Hi @halloy,

Are you using constants in wp-config.php to secure your SMTP password? If so, please be sure to add the constants above the line that reads:

/* That's all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */

    I hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply. It seems the problem became from OVH. I changed for Gmail again and it works fine (with previous email address in .gmail.com)
A big thanks for your work !
