Hi! I am using the Forminator plugin. Is it possible to restore temporarily uploaded files? Someone tried to sign up using the form on March 26th and uploaded images. The form was not submitted because the button apparently did not work on that day. However, the form and the images were saved as drafts. I also saw the images on the server (Strato) on that day, and the form was in WordPress (Forminator drafts). Unfortunately, the files were automatically deleted because they were only drafts. Is it possible to restore them? I also tried to restore my manual backup from March 28th via Strato, but the files are not there. Is it possible to find these files?

    Hi @lorena1717

    Hope you are doing fine!

Currently, Forminator doesn’t save the files uploaded in a draft submission for later use. Files may temporarily show through the process, but the files will be removed afterwards. Files are saved just when the form is submitted completely.

There is a feature request to change this behavior and the team is already evaluating the best approach to implement this functionality. However there is not a estimated time of completion yet as it needs to be thoroughly tested and compatible with the existing features.

About the backups, could you check if there was any other backup for the day the form was submitted? It could provide more chances to retrieve the files in case the backup was run when they were still there.

    Kind regards

    Luis
