Is it possible to resize the poster cover image/carousel

Does this issue occur when using a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-Two and only the Web Stories plugin?

Hi, I’, not sure, but note that we are not using the circular icons, we are using the carousel and there is no option to increase the size – https://tinyurl.com/2fvgkkjd

You could try adding something like this in the Customizer under Additional CSS:

.web-stories-list__inner-wrapper {
    --ws-story-max-width: 653px;
    --ws-story-min-width: 250px;
  }

This will increase the size of the cards.
