Is it possible to only disallow own profile edit?

Hello,

I was wondering if it’s possible to only disable/remove the own profile edit-possibility for a certain group (in my case for “authors”)?

I use a network plugin where you can edit your profile on the front-end. So I want to disable the option to update your plugin on the back-end (also because of email notifications of profile changes that only work when the profile is edited on the front-end).

So the authors should still be able to post new blog posts on the back-end, but not edit their profiles on the back-end. That’s why I want to disable this functionality and was wondering if your plugin can help me do that?
