    I am wondering if there is a way to make all topics and replies “pending” with your plugin.

    I have your plugin enabled and set to notify “Moderator” of all new topics and replies. The notification emails are sending as expected, but only when I disable the bbPress Moderation plugin. I added your plugin because I need the notifications sent to the moderators, not to the Blog Administrator, which is the only option in the that plugin.

    Any pointers or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi Cinderalla,

    I added a check for pending status to make it work with the bbPress Moderator plugin.

    I’ll look into adding a filter to allow what you need some time this week.

    Out of curiosity, how did you set up “Moderator”? Is it a role, a group, or something else entirely?

    That’s fantastic!! Thank you useStrict.

    I’m using the built-in bbPress forum role “Moderator”

    Just in case some more details/clarification will help:

    • Am using three plugins: bbPress Notify (No Spam), bbPress, and bbPress Moderation
    • bbPress Moderation plugin is set to put all new topics and replies into pending status
    • Then, I’m hoping to use your plugin to notify the bbPress forum moderators, so they can be responsible for moderating, instead of the website administrator.

    Important note to add to my last comment: I may have misunderstood what the filter is that you are looking into adding.

    If the filter is to put the new topics and replies into “pending” status, that would be perfect. May not need the moderation plugin then.

    Hello useStrict,

    Just wondering what your timeline is for adding the filter to your plugin.

    Thank you. Really appreciate it.

    Sorry, I got hung up with paid projects. I have to put some more thought into it before writing any code.

    Ok, so I went ahead and did part of the work – I added the following:

    = 1.8 =
    * New Filter: bbpnns_post_status_blacklist
    * New Filter: bbpnns_post_status_whitelist
    * New Action: bbpnns_before_topic_settings
    * New Action: bbpnns_after_topic_settings
    * New Action: bbpnns_after_reply_settings
    * New Action: bbpnns_register_settings

    This will allow a lot more extending of the plugin. Next step is to write a companion plugin to use those hooks to do what you want. Give me a couple of days and I’ll post the link.

    Here you go…

    https://usestrict.net/product/bbpress-moderation-plugin-add-on/

    It’s the first release which makes use of the filters added in bbPress Notify (No-Spam) v1.8. In future releases I want to get rid of the need for bbPress Moderation altogether.

    Cheers,
    Vinny

    This is great! Thank you again!

    I did go ahead and purchase the add-on but can’t seem to find where to download it.

    The IPN got messed up. I’ll contact you via email. Sorry about that.
