    Hi all,

I am taking care of the wordpress backend for the company I’m working with.

I am self-taught. It’s a lot of half-knowledge though, because I don’t have access to the editor and can’t f.e. do any CSS stuff, so there’s a lot of things I can set into practise.

    The task:
We want to increase the core web vitals.
One of the determined measures was to move all our picture files (JPGs, maybe some PNGs) to the webp format.
We don’t have an awful lot, but it might still make a difference?

Anyway, I saw that there are
    a) plugins which enable webp’s to be uploaded and used on WordPress (as they are currently blocked as a security threat by WordPress)
    b) plugins which enable to mass convert all pictures of a website to the webp format with just a few clicks.

Now webp is not supported by all browsers, so we need fallbacks.
I haven’t tried yet to set up a fallback via html, but I am wondering if there is any kind of plugin solution that could apply a fallback solution for all picture files of the entire website?

I am looking forward to any kind of answer.
I don’t have the experience yet to evaluate myself how possible or impossible this request is.

    Cheers
    Bobby
