• Hello – I have recently started a blog, last couple of months, and it is going well. I have started a couple of other blogs, but if I post in these it has the same user name displayed as the first blog.

I want to run 3 blogs on differnt topics, first blog is a joint one and I (didn’t realise at the time)but I have the name of the blog, as the user name, and that comes up with each post as the posted by display name. Which works ok.

The other blogs, I want my own name to come up as the posted by . . . but from what I can see, the display name as will be the same for all the blogs. Is there a way around this?

Or, do I need to set up a separate/alternative account with WordPress, and then transfer the blogs to these, with my own name as the user name?

    Thank you for your help.

    Go to : /wp-admin/users.php
Click the Edit below the user you want to edit (it can be yourself).
    It will redirect to
/wp-admin/user-edit.php?user_id=xy&wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2Fusers.php (value of xy is variable, for first admin its 11)
    page
Scroll to the section saying Name
    Fill your name things rightly.
Select from you choice from dropdown – “Display name publicly as”
Scroll to the bottom (of the webpage…) and hit update user button.

    No as you can see.
But never use the first account as admin. Create 3-4 accounts, make another admin, login from second admin account and demote (or rather kick out the first admin) the first account to subscriber. This is to prevent to get hacked.

Hello – Thank you very much for your help. But I need more help.

When I click the Edit below the Username it takes me to:

    /wp-admin/users.php?wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2Fusers.php%3Fwp_http_referer%3D%252Fwp-admin%252Fusers.php%26orderby%3Dname%26order%3Ddesc&page=grofiles-editor

Where I can update the profile but not the users. I do not get the options that you describe.

Also, you mentiom that it is helpful to create 3-4 accounts, and to make another admin etc., I do not know how to do that.

    Many thanks.
