Is it possible to have a second comments template

    Is it possible to have a second comments template? I want to have the standard comments template on all pages but have one page where the verbiage on the comments template be different.

    Of course. Create a new page template, and include the alternative comments.php file. Then when you create your new page, make sure you select the new template on the right hand side.

    you could create a special page template

    then put your modified comments template call in it

    I created the page template, duplicated the existing comments.php template and renamed it (no comment code changes at this point) changed the reference in my page template to point to the news comments template. I can add comments but they never show. I can change my custom page template back to point to the standard comments.php and it works fine.

    Make sure that the new comments page is pointing to the correct place and all references point to it, not the old one.
