Currently we do not have support for DropBox.

At the time of this post Amazon S3 offers 5GB of storage for FREE during the 1st year, and after that it charges 19 cents per 2GB per month. I’d say it qualifies for almost FREE.

It’ll be important to understand the level of interest to DropBox support though.
Please let us know if and how DropBox integration will solve your pain points.

I was just wary of the temporary free offer that google and amazon seem to be offering. After a certain time, it’s not free anymore. I don’t want to have to move my stuff because I can’t afford the charges. Also, there is limited bandwidth. Do you know what that bandwidth is?

I suppose I can try your pluggin out along with one of those two cloud services. It would be nice if you could include a little section, explaining in plain terms how much it would cost, including costs of bandwidth. (As a way for appealing to people like me who are a bit cautious)

After the free tier expires the current US-standard region prices for Amazon S3 are the following (source https://aws.amazon.com/s3/):

Storage: $0.095 per GB / month
    Bandwidth in: free
Bandwidth out: 1 GB / month free, then $0.12 per GB
GET requests: $0.01 per 10000 requests
    PUT / LIST / COPY / POST requests: $0.01 per 1000 requests

The bandwidth is virtually unlimited, the limit is only on how much you get each month for free.

AWS have a calculator here: https://calculator.s3.amazonaws.com/calc5.html. Pick “Amazon S3” channel on the left and uncheck the “FREE USAGE TIER” checkbox on top, to see what it’s going to cost you after the free tier.
