    Hi,

Can we use this plugin to automatically create short urls based on a custom field that the post has ?

I’m using a custom post type (via MyListings theme), where I have two fields, the regular Title field and a Initials field (both are required), along with the body, etc.

This is an example of what users are expected to input:

    • Title: National Basketball Association
    • Initials: NBA

Right now, when publishing, the URL becomes something like mysite.org/listings/national-basketball-association .

What I would like to have is mysite.org/listings/nba .

    Is this possible?

    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

We got your use case but sorry to say that it’s not possible to create a short link based on the custom fields automatically using URL Shortify at this moment.

However, this can be achieved by customizing URL Shortify. Please contact us if you need custom work.

You can email us or contact us from the website.

    Thank you for replying!

I’ll keep the custom work in mind. Right now it’s not my objective to go that route.
