This is probably not a built-in feature, I don’t know if there is an addon either.

What we want to do is create a normal Post in WordPress, but also while on the post edit screen, enable the creation of a connected event so that the event links to the post.

We only need the event date/time/location and then it would automatically link back to the post.

This is mostly a convenience feature. We create posts for our events, but we also want to add them on the calendar. Currently we have to create the posts, then go create the event separately and copy the link for the post, etc.
So for convenience, it would be nice if we can generate the event directly from the post edit screen so that the event links to the post automatically when we save the new post.

Is this possible with any current features or addons?

  • Hi @guyinpv,

First, you should wait for the plugin owner or team to reply, but I must tell you that I do a similar task on my site (staging site).

I am now on the final test and will be done by this weekend (I hope…).

If you are interested, please send me DM on Slack, @shingen0810.

Note that I have found this way by hiring developers and by using a paid plugin.

So, it is not that easy and cannot be done for free.

I guess other users are searching this and this plugin’s owner might create a new addon (It will definitely be customized work) . So, please wait for them to reply. If you cannot find the way, please contact me by Slack.

I hope you can solve this matter with their support.

    Hello @guyinpv,

Thanks for your message! Unfortunately our plugin doesn’t do that straight out of the box. Like @shingen0810 mentioned, you’d need custom development to achieve it. I’m sorry for the inconvenience.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hi @xiberia

My test went good, but I drop this case now.

My way, I should say it is a bit complicated way to do it.

I suppose you would like to publish “the post” and “the events post” at the same time.

“posting same article on both of them at the same time” is really difficult to do, or cannot be done anyway.

I am afraid to say that I do not have a time to explain and tell you what I have done on this. I spent too much time and money for this.

I must apologize about connecting on slack, but please find your own way to do it. Some hints and tips can be found by searching.

    All best,
