Is it possible to combine separate galleries on a single page?

    Is it possible to combine several galleries on a single page and show them all in the lightbox?

    I have three galleries on this page and put them together to get a specific layout. But in the lightbox, they are showing separately – images from just one gallery. It would be nice if visitors can click any image on the page and cycle through all the images on all the galleries combined.

  • I’ve been using the Simple Lightbox plugin (highly recommended) for many years to do just this.

    To work the images need their link setting set to link to the media file or the image’s attachment page. You need to turn off the Jetpack Lightbox option for Simple Lightbox to not conflict with the Jetpack lightbox.

    Here’s an example of it: working with multiple images and galleries in one large post, just click on the first image to start the slideshow of all 47 images in the post.

    Hi @gsallman,

    I’ve just removed Simple Lightbox from my site. It is very nice and easy to use, but adds lots of assets to the page and slows down. I am looking for a very lightweight one.
