Is it possible to add image attributes to IMPOSTED images

    Hello.

    I use a PLUGIN called WP AUTOMATIC to import items for sale from eBay. The plugin automatically adds ALT text to the FEATURED IMAGES but nothing else. I have tried the FREE version of AUTO IMAGE ATTRIBUTES, then ran a WP AUTOMATIC campaign to import a product from eBay. Unfortunately, it did NOT add the ALT image attribute as I’d hoped it might. The FEATURED image gets the attributes from the WP AUTOMATIC plugin – but not the MAIN full size image on each page.

    Would the developers of this plugin expect it to work with imported images?

    Is it because the imported images is defined in some shortcode [item_images] within the WP AUTOMATIC plugin template?

    I thought I’d found the answer to over 2,300 images with no image attributes ?? but not ?? … is there anything I can do to make this work for me?

    PS.

    If I go to the MEDIA LIBRARY – I can clearly see that this plugin AUTO IMAGE ATTRIBUTES has done it’s job and all attributes are present and completed with relevant content “invicta mens watch pro diver number 14979 2015” … so it looks like the PLUGIN WP AUTOMATIC is ignoring these attributes … I guess it’s a question for the WP AUTOMATIC team.

    Sorry I took too long to respond, just noticed this.

    Images won’t be updated at the time of import unless they trigger the same action hooks as WordPress does. In other words, if the import of images looks just like WordPress uploading images, my plugin will not know that image is imported.

    Since the imported images are in the media library, I think you should be able to use the bulk updater to add the attributes later?

    I am not sure how this works. If you heard back from WP Automatic team, please let me know.
