    Hi Moshe,

In our Knowledge Base, we explained why archives aren’t listed in the sitemap, of which author archives are among them.

The gist is that we can’t accurately determine the data for these pages, because they consist of complex queries. It’s better to let search engines figure out these pages exist via crawling than handing them wrong information. This way, search engines can automatically determine how often they should recrawl and update the archive for search-display.

    See: https://www.google.com/search/howsearchworks/crawling-indexing/

When you perform a site:-search query on an author on your website, you’ll find that Google has already found the archive automatically via crawling:
    site:https://www.mastermatkonim.co.il/author/jacqueline/

Lastly, a sitemap does not contribute to ranking; it only helps with indexing. Since the archive is already indexed, there’s nothing a sitemap could do more for you here ??

    Hi Sybre,

Thanks for clarifying it to me ?? I’m glad to know that it’s not affecting anything.

    Have a great week!
    Moshe B.
