Is it possible to add Allowlisted URL/Param directly from file manager?
If yes, how to do it?

I try it on all options >> allowlisted URLs when learning mode is active, but nothing changes when I clicked save changes button on upper right corner

Hi @rokokneslite, thanks for reaching out to us!

There are possibly 3 routes you can take with allowlisting actions on your site and hopefully one will do the trick.

The first would be to find the action being blocked in Wordfence > Live Traffic, expanding the entry by clicking it and selecting “ADD PARAM TO FIREWALL ALLOWLIST“.

The second if the above doesn’t work could be manually allowing this by navigating to Wordfence > All Options > Allowlisted URLs and input the following under the 3 input boxes for “Add Allowlisted URL/Param”. You’ll probably need to inspect your browser console’s “Network” tab to see which URL and params were being passed when the action was blocked.

    • URL
    • Param Type
    • Param Name

Finally, you can try enabling Learning Mode, but perform the actions rather than try to manually add the allowlisted URLs. From the Wordfence Dashboard click on Manage WAF. Then you will see Basic Firewall Options > Web Application Firewall Status. Change the option to Learning Mode. Now click around your site and perform the actions that were causing trouble. This will help Wordfence learn that these actions are normal and it will allow them in the future. After you have finished performing the actions, switch the WAF from Learning Mode back to Enabled and Protecting. Now test to see if these actions work correctly.

If you’re not having any luck, you’ll need to let me know the plugin(s) or action(s) involved along with any error messages or blocks you’re seeing, possibly by pasting them here or adding the link to a site like Snipboard for screenshots.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
