Is it possible to add additional smileys to the smiley pop up list

You can add the smileys in the popup directly: https://iflychat.com/documentation/general/how-customize-smileys-iflychat by adding smiley codes in iflychat_smiley_popup provided you have defined them in iflychat_smiley_list first.

I can’t get that to work, I’ve added the smiley list to my root directory and confirmed they work by using the codes in chat, but they do not appear in the pop up smiley list.

So for example, in the file https://www.truthofself.com/iflychat_smiley.js

In the settings for Ifly_Chat_popup I have included “:ar!”

And yet the Pirate does not appear in the chat popup list.

The file “https://www.truthofself.com/iflychat_smiley.js” doesn’t seem to load at https://www.truthofself.com. Is it set to load in header/footer?

I’m not sure I understand the question. I can load it when I click on it, it does not load in a page as it’s not part of the wordpress install. Should it be?

All I did was to copy it to that directory as the guide tells me to.

I have gone through the instructions at https://iflychat.com/documentation/general/how-customize-smileys-iflychat several times… Like @venutius, I’m still not clear on this subject.

If you could please answer:

Which is the correct way to format this in the .js file:

iflychat_smiley_list = {}

or using “var”

var iflychat_smiley_list = {}

Also, what do you mean when you ask:

Should we place a js call in the code then? What would the line be like?

After adding the code to a JS file, you would need to load that JS file on all pages of your website.
