Is it possible to add a map to locate pets on a WordPress pet directory site ?

  • I have a pet register directory site.Where the residents register their pets. Is it possible to create a MAP on the WP website where the pets live??if we could add a MAP feature so if a stray pet is roaming, the people who see the stray pet could also look for a MAP to see what pets their neighbors have registered ON THE SITE. During registering the pets they add their address and it automatically applies to the dogs location.Is it possible ?

  • Yes, this is certainly feasible – but probably only as customised programming. Firstly, you need to record the address data, which would also have to be converted into geo-coordinates. Then you need a map output – there are some plugins for this, but you have to link their output with the address data. If you don’t know a developer for this yourself, you may be able to find someone here: https://jobs.wordpress.net

    Leaflet Map has a Geocoder included.
