I have a website with coupons deals and product deals listings. Now I’m trying to make two different sub domains like ‘coupons.mywebsite.com’ and ‘products.mywebsite.com’ where I can manage coupons and products from their own admin side. But I want to display both coupons and products in the main website i.e., ‘mywebsite.com’. I want to use posts and shortcodes from both subdomains in this main website.

Is it possible to do it with WordPress multisite?
Or is there any alternative option for creating a website like this?

    Please advise me.. Thanking you..

You mean use the shortcodes to display posts from the other sites? Yes there’s a plugin that can do that.

Hi, Thank you for the response.
Do i need to install wordpress on each folder?
I don’t have any experience with wordpress multisite. Could you please tell me if multisite is necessary for the below requirement..

    * I want to create a main shopping website in which coupons and products can be managed from ‘coupons.mywebsite.com’ and ‘products.mywebsite.com’. * All posts in those subdomains can be used in the main website.

    Thanking you

No, the whole point of Multisite is you install it ONCE.

I don’t know if this will meet your needs, because I don’t know what you meant by ‘all posts in those subdomains can be used in the main website.’

Multsite is intended to be multiple separate sites. So cross posting doesn’t really work the way people assume it might.

How do you need these posts to be ‘used’ on the main site? Just show the content or what?

    Hi, Thanks for the reply.
I don’t know if my idea is wrong.. I just want to confirm if it is possible with WordPress website.

    * Display listings/posts from subdomains in the main website.

    * Is it possible to access plugins’ shortcodes/outputs from subdomains in the main website?
I think that is not possible.. right?

    Thanks

Display listings/posts from subdomains in the main website.

    You can do that.

Is it possible to access plugins’ shortcodes/outputs from subdomains in the main website?

I don’t know what you mean by this. Can you provide an example? If you mean “Show the content from a post on Site B on Site A” then yes.

For example If I have installed Woo-commerce plugin and added some products into that plugin on Site B, can I display these products on Site A? (Site A does not have that plugin installed)

No. You cannot do that yet.
