• This has been asked here but I wanted to get an assurance and an updated answer. So, I bought this theme template and I got 6 months support with it. Recently, I started to have problems with my website regarding the template. They have provided support for me already but after trying their solutions, it still didn’t work. So, all there is left is for them to access my WordPress account and FTP account to help with the problem. I understand that it is way easier to see the problems yourself as an expert. I just have to make sure since this is for a client (yes, I’ll make a back-up before doing it). Surely enough, they won’t gain anything to be honest but is it alright?

I’m not sure if it’s okay to say the name but it’s from TutorLMS and Thimpress. Has anyone tried to give access to them?

    Thank you so much!

Short answer: No, its a forum guidelines violation.

    forum guidelines

Do not post or ask for login information, even test IDs and test passwords.

There are other ways to give and ask for needed debug information.

However, when you are a premium/pro customer, it is not www.remarpro.com area, so its between you and plugin support. Paid product support should NOT be done on our forums.

Thank you! But what if it’s done on other forums? Not here exactly but to be sent privately on their support site or I should just do the steps you shared here despite that? Apologize for the beginner question but thank you so much for the quick reply!

It’s up to you to use your discretion. I have given creds to a site only in cases where I know and trust the developer in question and I was prepared with a slew of backups and tests to see exactly what was changed and able to roll it back. To whom, and when, would you give the keys to your house?
