• Hello,

Is it ok to have 2 admins logged in at the same time making changes to the WP site? Or will that cause problems?

    Thanks!

  • @urbansoapchick i dont think there would be any issue with this unless you have the two admins writing to the exact same post / db entry at the exact same moment

WordPress facilitates multiple admins/editors… so you won’t have any problems. The one thing you will notice is that if you go to edit a post that is being currently edited by another user it will show an alert at the top with something along the lines of “this post is currently being edited by…”. Even if changes are made you can always go back to revisions to compare in case you feel you may have overwritten something. Hope this helps.

Thanks @odgraphics & @rayholt for the responses! What about if you’re making changes to the theme, widgets, plugins, etc? Can we override each other?

    Thanks so much!

In that case, yes. Unless you are using some sort of version control and accessing your theme through FTP. WP does not have the revision on site files, plugins, etc. So be sure to backup before you make any changes. I can’t stress that enough.
