Is it not possible to use Shortcodes in the the Shortcode Content?

Is it not possible to use shortcodes inside of your shortcode content area? I’ve got some content that needs to go on multiple pages, but that content has some shortcodes in it (mostly some column shortcode). Is there a way to use shortcodes in your shortcode content?
