    Hi –

I installed the iQ Block Country plugin v1.1.43. In Settings -> iQ Block Country -> Tools I see a message “IPv4 database exists. File date: May 22, 2017 11:18 pm”.

I want to block Indonesia and I added it to the frontend and backend lists. When I use your Check IP address on an Indonesia IP address I get a message:

IP Adress xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx belongs to Indonesia.

This country is not permitted to visit the frontend of this website.
This country is not permitted to visit the backend of this website.

So, it looks like the plugin works! But I never installed the GeoIP.dat file. Do I need to install it? Why? Should I just upload it to /wp-content/uploads/GeoIP.dat?

    Thanks!

    Mike

    Hi,

You already have uploaded a database. If it is already present you only need to do regular upgrades of the databases.

Thanks, Pascal, for your quick reply and for your great plugin!

I saw a minor issue … the time on the “IPv4 database exists. File date: May 22, 2017 11:18 pm” message (also IPv6) is not adjusted to the local time zone.

    Thanks,

    Mike
