Every time i want to edit an events page i can’t just edit what I need without having to re-enter the date and day etc in the ‘When’ fields in the top right hand corner. Does everybody else have to do this as well or is it a browser problem for me?

It seems like a glitch or a time wasting thing if i want to make minor edits to several pages (that i can’t do in quick edit) because i have to re-enter these details again… total waste of productivity.

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Is this in the frontend or you are logged-in as admin? also, have you tried it on other browser?

it’s when i am logged in as the admin.

I tried it in Firefox and in Safari… happens in both browsers.

Just to be sure i’m explaining myself correctly, it’s the top right hand corer of this screen capture

could it be your date picker – date formattings at Events > Settings > Formatting > Date/Time > Date Picker Format ?

that’s not normal. i’ve seen some users experience this problem, in all cases it was caused by another plugin (Sorry can’t remember which exactly). Try disabling your plugins temporarily or even switching to the default theme and see if that helps.

Yeah i’m not sure what you’re meaning but it’s not the format that it’s showing up in, it’s the fact that I have to re-enter it every single time I edit that event. It retains every other piece of information remains and does need modification or editing but just these fields i’ve shown you always need me to re-enter them. If i don’t i’ll get an error message saying that the save didn’t work because those fields were outstanding.

It would be worth testing it with all other plugins disabled, just to rule out that possibility.

I tried disabling all of the plugins except one which is the revolution slider… I’m not really in a position to do that at the moment as it contains crucial information for my website. All of the other plugins appeared to make no difference once they were disabled.

Can you recall if the problem plugin was the revolution slider… if that’s the one I can’t really see my site without using that plugin. It would be a shame if that was it.

the slider does ring a bell unfortunately, and given sliders are heavy JS implementations, good chance it’s that.

if you can’t consider another slider (and want to keep EM :)), consider asking their support to become compatible with the standard jQuery UI datepicker, because we use what ships with WP.

I can handle (for now at least) having to reenter those details each time i refresh the event but do you recall if it created any other dramas with event manager? I don’t want to get to the end of my project only to find that the event manager doesn’t work correctly.

can I know the name of the theme/slider you are using?

Sorry about the late reply. I am using the revolution slider and the theme is COSMOX.

As a follow up test I deactivated every single plugin including the revolution slider and the problem still occurred. I am now using the pro version of the EM so this is a real pain in the ass. I have well over 500 events that I need to modify and this adds so much extra time just to carry out very simply edits per event. Event just to go into the edit page I have to re-enter the when fields.

Also i don’t want to start another thread within this one but when i search page one of the events and then page two, some of the events from page one will reappear in page two and as I progress through the 30 + pages many events will never appear at all. Then i have to go back through the 30 + pages again just to try and catch the ones I missed. Very frustrating and much productivity goes out the window with these problems.

have you tried switching themes? if plugins deactivated don’t help, then 99% chance it’s your theme.

for your second issue, please create another thread, it’ll just get confusing otherwise. if you’ve made any changes to templates or added php that hook into EM, I’d suspect that because our pagination seems to work fine when testing.

you’ll get faster replies on the pro forums btw
