Is it multisite compatible?

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the plugin and the kind of filtering/redirecting it performs, it doesn’t go well with Multisite installations and plugins that rely on domain changes (WPML, Polylang, etc.) as well.

In any case, you may set a sandbox up and try to install it and see for yourself how it goes. I just don’t guarantee the outcome.

No, not yet.

Hope I’ll setup a multisite environment (as planned) in the coming weeks and test it.

@wpgetty I just found and tried Human Made’s Mercator plugin, which was specifically made for the purpose of allowing alias domains on multisite individual blogs, and it works beautifully with current version of WordPress (5.4).

It also solves the problem of logging-in on different domain my managing network-wide SSO!

You have to install it manually and setup a wp-content/sunrise.php script to make it work, but by following the instructions anyone should be able to set it up.

You can then easily add domain aliases to any site in the network administration.

To Mercator’s description, it seems it also works on multisite subfolder installation (e.g. network.com/subsite)…

I don’t feel quite comfortable with this. To your experience would you suggest to setup a subdomain installation (e.g. subsite.network.com) especially for such kind of domain mapping to avoid potential issues?
