Can I ask why you don’t want to update the theme?

Paranoia. My site is working well right now and am afraid of breaking something by updating the theme. But I’m also afraid my theme will become so far out of date that new plugins might not work. Are my concerns ill founded?

Me personally ALWAYS do updates.. stuff is updated for a reason(s) of security, functionality, etc..

As long as you have a Child Theme for any CSS or PHP edits you have made you should be fine.

I would update the theme and then fix any error that might come up via Child Theme.

But again if all your edits are on a Child Theme everything should be ok.

Yes, that’s valid and that using outdated versions can be a security risk.

Ok, thanks. I do have a child theme. Will proceed to make the update to 1.6 when have time to fix anything that breaks.
