• I’ve downloaded the new version 1.9 from the www.remarpro.com repository. It contains the GPL license.

Yet Baily at Time.ly is insisting that any version above 1.82 is NOT GPL

The water is muddied because his exact quote is:

Versions on WordPress are GPL yes –
1.8.3 is not GPL and neither are any new versions of the plugin – they have a patent and EULA license in them.

Well, version 1.9 is a new version and it is also on www.remarpro.com.

I think the fact that the download package includes the GPL license is definitive — it has been released GPL. But it is important to get Time.ly’s position clear before people go off making their own modifications.

BTW: I have no interest in making modifications, but people who do were being told they legally could not. Ergo my inquiry.
