    Hi!

You can, by selecting “the language is set from content” in settings->url modifications.

This works for posts, pages, categories and tags. The language code for non default languages is still needed for date archives, author archives, post format archives… It works for the homepage only if you are using a static front page and do not ask to use the language code instead of the page name.

Some plugins / themes working well with the default settings may conflict with this option.

Yes, for default language in my website, there is no language slug in all places (home page, posts, and pages).
But for the non default language, the home page still contains the language slug (there is no language slug in post & pages).

So it depends on my theme to be able to remove the language slug in home page or not?

    Thank you

The two homepages must have a different url.
You can have for example https://www.example.com/home/ if you use atatic front page and do not check “The front page url contains the language code instead of the page name or page id”

    Thank you for the answer.
