Is is acceptableto ask Thesis based questions here?

  • The only reason I ask is that the thesis forums are not very active, and when you do get an answer, well it’s only a partial explanation.

    I have received exemplary feed back and invaluable timely assistance here on these boards on my other sites/templates.

    Any advice would be helpful before I start asking away.

    Sam the problem I am having is that Thesis does not have various template pages like single.php, page.php etc and I am used to customizing the loop in other standard templates. Like adding or removing certain elements and re-arranging them or styling them differently based on whether the actual file is a post page, a static page or a single-post page.

    I am understand how the hook features and and custom functions file works however, I would like to be able to write a custom loop, or at least minimal changes to the existing one and apply it to only single-post pagers or static pages, etc. What does one need to do to basic replace everything between the header and footer, and then conditionally apply it certain page types, as mentioned above.
