When I checked keywords, user search intent on semrush, I found that the top competitors for transactional, commercial keywords on the first page of Google search rankings all have woocommerce plugin on their sites. There are also some competitors who don’t have woocommerce plugin. Now I have a question. If it’s a transactional or commercial keyword. Is installing woocommerce plugin useful for website seo? Is it only by installing woocommerce that Google will realise that my page is a page targeting transactional keywords?

  • Hi @mason5666 ,

    That’s an interesting question.

SEO and rankings on search engines are complex topics.

Installing WooCommerce will give your site a typical e-commerce structure. You’ll have product pages, there will be a cart page, and a checkout page. Such a structure may help search engines recognize your site as relevant in a commerce context.

If you’re looking to get your site on top of search results for transactional and commerce keywords, I’m assuming the site is about selling something? In this case, maybe WooCommerce could be a great fit independent of the impact on search rankings.
