Is Google Analytics a Requirement?

    I do not currently have Google Analytics installed on my site. Will the Site Kit still work in this situation, and will it automatically install Google Analytics if it is not present on my site?

    Hi @stanm784 thanks for your question. Analytics is not a requirement when setting up Site Kit. The services connected when setting up Site Kit are Search Console and PageSpeed Insights. You will just need a Google account to sign in with when setting up the plugin.

    You can choose to create and place Analytics properties using the Site Kit plugin following a few simple steps during the initial setup or later by going to Site Kit > Settings > Connect more services > Analytics.
