Is GoDaddy a bad host? Website is slow and choppy.

  • Is it me or is GoDaddy a horrible WordPress host? I have a managed WordPress account with GoDaddy.

    1) I noticed the WordPress control panel is very slow.

    2) My website loads very slowly as well. I barely have any content on my site. I also barely have any plugins. I am using Elementor as my page builder. Maybe Elementor is causing the webpage to load slowly? Once the webpage has been fully loaded on a browser, if you hit refresh it loads up rather quickly. It is the initial “new user/visitor” that will experience very slow load times of my home page. The homepage for a “new user/visitor” will have sections scaled incorrectly as it is loading and then like magic everything on the page pops into place once the page is fully loaded. Maybe this gives some insight into what is going on? GoDaddy is restricting me from installing a plugin like WP Rocket.

    I am new to this and am wondering if anyone else has had issues with GoDaddy and WordPress hosting. I am close to giving up on WordPress. My website is Bscottmfg.com. It is very much still a work in progress.

    You have to contact your hosting support first go get answers on your issues.
    Elementor is known to be resources demanding plugin.
    You always can change your webhosting to something else.
