    Hi there,

I’m building a new website with GeneratePress. One of the reasons I chose GeneratePress is that it doesn’t use jQuery.

So, is Glossary dependent on jQuery?

    Thanks!

  • Hi,
Our plugin on the A2Z list (on pro version) doesn’t use jQuery but some js files for mobile tooltips (pro feature) or right tooltip placement workaround uses it.
In our plans is to get the plugin on frontend free from jQuery, but I don’t have a deadline for that.

Ah, thanks that’s good to know. Just to veryfy, at this point it will load jQuery if we use the plugin on our website? Or only if we use sertain elements of it. If the latter could you be a bit more specific?

With free version it is not enqueued in the page, with pro version the off-screen that uses jquery is in page.
The other one just if the feature is enabled in the plugin settings. Anyway it is possible to dequeue this js scripts until we don’t do a release that don’t use jquery.

Thanks a lot for the info!
