    Hello,

The chatting and configuration are both done through a web application hosted on chatpirate.com, so to answer your question – yes, an agent would need to login on the ChatPirate website to chat with visitors. If that’s something preventing you from giving ChatPirate a try, I can assure you that even though in order to use ChatPirate you need to log in on an external website, it’s really simple and super easy to integrate with your WordPress website, and your session is stored for 30 days, meaning that during this period you’ll be automatically redirected to your account.

    Hope this answers your question,

    Hi Art,

Thank you for the super quick response. We’re looking for a good chat platform (we’d actually like the option to have it admin facing as well for client websites for technical support, and I’m sure our Technology Director can finagle that), but I’m never keen on requiring staff log into a 3rd party website for management. I see you have desktop notifications and transcripts, which is fabulous. We’ll look more into it. Thank you very much for your time.
