Is eShop modular based?

    I was referred to this plugin while trying to achieve one of the features eShop has – to replace the default “WordPress” e-mails sent out for registrations, passwords, etc, with custom ones I write myself. However, I’ve already set up a community site using Mingle, and it’s not (at least yet) an e-commerce driven site, so would it be possible to install/activate the plugin and only use that one feature without risking conflicts with what’s already in place?

    Failing that, would it be possible to “borrow” the code referring specifically e-mails, and implement it in a custom script/plugin (by “possible” I mean is the code used in eShop able to function without the rest of the plugin?)?

    You can borrow and reuse whatever code you want… except that eShop doesn’t alter the registration email. I decided not to add that in as another plugin was already doing it.

    (I think that’s the one I saw at the time).

    The emails within eShop are mainly sent out on successful purchase of a product.

    Looking at your other thread, it looks like you want to alter all the standard emails – I think that plugin will give you a better starting point than eShop. But feel free to shout if you can’t find the necessary actions/filters for the other you want to adjust.

    Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately it’s only compatible up to 2.8.5 (I’m using the latest version) so I’ll leave that one just now. Just taken a leap of faith and installed WP Mail Options which I’ll test out tomorrow when I’m back online.

    I’d still suggest testing to see if it works, it did with 2.9
