Right, that “Compatible with WordPress 3.4+ up to 4.0” should be updated.
Anyway a child-theme is just a directory with a style.css (which has the relevant field Template: customizr , plus other not relevant things) and a functions.php (which just starts with <?php, plus a non relevant comment).
So it’s compatible ??
