Is Cookie Notice compatible with GDPR?

Yeah, that is a big article. I just need a simple yes or no. In addition, that guide stated you should say what your plugins, if any, do with respects to data. I think this is best down to the developer to provide this.

That way they get a consitent advert about their plugin use of data.

I am not sure what I am exactly to do with that privacy policy guide. Too much info.

Yes, this plugin lets you do that.

It does not happen by default, because for obvious reasons, not every site will have or use the same “non functional” cookies.

Non functional means, they are not absolutely necessary to let a site function.
If you have “non functional” cookies/scripts like Google analytics, adwords, facebook pixels, remarketing scripts, you need to add those scripts ONLY to the block feature of Cookie Notice. You need to remove the scripts from their original places, they may only reside in the blocking feature. If not they will still track and wont be blocked!

@logologics Sure but these cost money. The free one is limited. I don’t have a commercial website so I will stick with my own wording. ??

You can always use your own wording, that generator just helps a lot to make sure you add all that is necessary for GDPR ??

I will use my wording because the basic ones are for website or mobile. We only want one page to maintain.

Actually one page is also a website, the whole thing is about, what your webpage is gathering from personal data. One page can also contain all sorts of tracking and contactform or even a payment on it.

If all the above is not the case, a simple wording telling who you are, what you gather ( or not ) should be sufficiant.

So, will there be be an update this week of this plugin to make it fully GDPR compliant for our web sites, or do we have to go buy another plugin… which would be a great shame as I consider this one the best so far.

I was actually told to install this plugin because the two would work together so I am not sure when it is all going to be rolled out either.

could you please tell me where visitor’s consent to cookie usage is stored? As far as I understood, to be 100% GDPR compliant, the consent must not only be revokable but has to be recorded and available for cancellation etc.
