I am getting a 500 error when trying to save anything that has buddypress builder associated with them. I also don’t see the custom templates anywhere on the site, so I thought I should first confirm that it is php 7.4 compatible.

    Thank you.

Thank you for your reply. I did some testing and found that this is a theme/theme plugin compatibility issue. I have messaged the theme author for assistance, but if you were able to help that would be fantastic, as I really want to use your plugin as I think the templates look nice.

The theme is WPLMS: https://themeforest[dot]net/item/wplms-learning-management-system/6780226 – and has two plugins that also create an issue; vibebp and its main wplms plugin.

*From what I can see the theme has its own templates or buddypress template control that it uses that is messing with your plugin using the default buddypress templates so it is not working.

I have created an account for you on a staging site to see if you are willing to take a look. I will send the info to the email address provided above:

Also here is a some error code it gave me from on instance”

Thank you for any help you are able to provide.

    Hey there,

Thanks for keeping in touch with us.

In this case, I had a look into this and you are actually right. I had a look into your site and there appears to be an issue with the theme. It appears to have customized BuddyPress templates. Most BuddyPress Group template tags are not available within the Group directory templates, which is why undefined function errors are being triggered. I would suggest reaching out to the themes’ support team in regards to this information.

Should you have any questions, please let us know.

    Best Regards,

    John

Also try to set the BuddyPress template to Nouveau in Settings – BuddyPress – Settings. If it appears like that just resave.

Thank you for your help on this. I have contacted the theme author regarding the templates, and asked them to make your plugin compatible with their theme. Who knows if they will, but it would be great if they did.

    Thanks again,
