Is blogs.dir always used?

    Hi,

    I have installed 3.3.2 with multisite enabled.
    In my main blog I have imported data (xml from wordpress) using import plugin. I have noticed that all media where stored in uploads folder and not in blogs.dir as I assumed.

    Is that correct?
    Will any additional site uploads its content in blogs.dir?
