  • I have decided to stay with Contact 7. It is a good program. I think the help “tutorials” are confusing. Would be nice to have cleaner explaination and perhaps an image to show configurations and settings.

    That said, I read the suggestions in this forum on issues people are having and applied those to my form. Everything now works as it did before.

    Don’t think we can blame the “tightening up” of email to fight spam on the plub in developer. I assume the upgrade was necessary as the playing field has changed.

    I have been googling how to fix the form on one of my sites for three days. I had a member of the forum give me instruction – and it didn’t work. My website form is not working now.

    I’m stuck. I wish they would just send one clear set of instructions. I have seen several pages – one has a * and the other uses a different strategy.

    Do you have a link to a clear guideline? One you would use? Like I’ve said, I’ve seen several.

    Interested in hearing from anyone else on whether they are leaving Contact Form 7, too. Feedback is good.

    I am extremely frustrated and looking for an alternative. I understand the rationale behind the change to avoid looking like spam but I have tried all the suggestions offered and, although I no longer have red error messages, the messages from the contact forms are not reaching me and that is unacceptable.

    I understand your frustration, as a contact form which doesn’t work is worse than worthless. Looking at your last post here, I notice that in your TO field you have [your-name] [your-email]. Try:

    To: [email protected]

    Or whatever your-domain email address you use to receive emails from that site.
