• Right now, when I log into my dashboard, certain features just say “loading” and they never load. This includes: Stats, Plugins, Incoming Links, WordPress Development Blog and Other WordPress News.

    Is anyone else having this problem? I am unsure if the problem is with my hosting, or with some WordPress features?

    I also can’t seem to access any of those features directly.

    Let me know. Thanks.

  • What version of wordpress are you using ? I had the same problem with 2.7.1.

    I also realized that once I deactivated ‘wordpress.com stats plugin’ the dashboard loaded without problem.

    After upgrading wordpress to 2.8 I again activated the ‘wordpress.com stats’ plugin. This time the dashboard loaded successfully. But the stats simply refused to show any visitors. The graph was flat and the stats were zero. I then found that this code is to be inserted in footer.php, else the stats plugin won’t work :

    <?php wp_footer(); ?>

    And yes, the stats are showing now. But still the problem isn’t resolved. Though the stats are showing but the space for graph is completely BLANK !

    Anyone with a solution ?

    Daniel,

    The Lighter Menus plugin was causing this problem for me in 2.8.1. I discovered it by deactivating all plugins, and reactivating them in batches until the problem recurred, then narrowing down from there.

    FWIW.
    Mark.

    I upgraded and now notice that clicking on the link for all views for the day produces a blank page and the help window does not drop down.

    This service stopped working on my site in March, 2008. I’ve never been able to figure out why. It happened two days after I posted a video link to the movie Fitna by Geert Wilder about Islamofascism in the Netherlands. I assumed the PC censors or Islamofascists were responsible, but have never been able to figure it out. I downloaded updates, disabled, reenabled, etc.

    The service sucks and documentation is conflicting. I’ve read a few forum postings that imply that www.remarpro.com doesn’t support external hosting. They make vague references to WordPress.com, but don’t clarify whether the blog stats are supposed to work on external hosting. Then the WordPress.com volunteers get miffed when frustrated users keep asking why the service doesn’t work. But no one provides answers.

    The promotional material for this service says the blog stats are better than Google’s. Hello! Anyone home? Google provides data! A novel concept.
