    Hi,

Is there a way to set which tax should the fee use when using “Is Amount Taxable ?”

    Problem:
I’m trying to narrow down a recent problem my client has.
Situation: we have 2 types of VAT (9% and 19%)

We are using the Extra Fees Plugin for WooCommerce (and thanks for that!) to add a packaging fee. ( 4.2 lei set in the plugin, for a total of 5 RON after the 19% VAT, marked as taxable)

From what I can see, everything was fine before the 29th of September, and the 19% VAT was applied to the fee. Now, the 9% VAT is applied instead (when checked as taxable) and I can’t find a way to change it back.

If I remember right, we had a Woocommerce update inbetween this dates that might be the cause, but I’m not sure.

    Hello BIGI,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

At the moment, there is no feature to select which tax should be applied; the standard tax is always used.

The tax type standard applicable on your site can be verified.

If that does not work as mentioned, please share the screenshots of the settings with us.

    Hi Hitendra,

I’ve tried setting the standard tax to 19% but nothing changes.
I’ve also set the taxes again a few times in a few different ways but I can’t seem to get it working as intended, with the 19% tax when a product has 9% tax.

I’ve attached some screenshots with the settings for Woo tax, Standard tax, 9% tax, 19% tax, the plugin (4.2 for a total of 5 after the 19% tax).
It would also be useful to have something like woo shipping tax class , where you can select which one to use.

    The use case here is:
The client sells food (cookies, cakes) with a 9% tax and a packaging fee that needs to have the 19% tax.

Seems like the images aren’t rendering… so I’ll leave the links here:

    Hello BIGI,

Thanks for sharing the detailed information with screenshot.

We understand what you’re saying, but as previously mentioned, our fees are always based on the standard tax, not on the tax on the product or shipping class.

    Best Regards,
