• Hi

I just updated all my plugins to latest versions – including latest version of Participants Database AND Participants Database Email Expansion Kit (now version 1.9). Now it may not be related, but suddenly I am now getting a message in WordPress Admin referring to “Advanced Custom Fields” which states:

    Database Upgrade Required

Thank you for updating to Advanced Custom Fields PRO v5.7.7!
This version contains improvements to your database and requires an upgrade.

I have never heard of “Advanced Custom Fields” and on checking my plugins list it’s not even listed as an installed plugin. So I’m wondering why I’m suddenly getting this message! Is this ACF plugin somehow integrated with the PDB or related plugins?

Can anyone shed any light on this or suggest what I should do?

Yes, ACF is embedded in the Email Expansion Kit add-on. There was an update to the version of ACF that is included in the add-on, hence the message about the database update.

Sorry for the confusion there. Let me know if you run into problems.

OK, thanks for the quick response. I can imagine that message might similarly confuse a few of your customers though. Might be worth you considering referring to that in the changes log for any future updates which may prompt this message that the plugin needs an update of the database.

Thanks for the feedback, I didn’t realize there would be an admin message generated by the update.
