    Hello FooWizzards,

We have been very happy using FooBox Pro and since a year or so FooGallery.

A few times we had some issues especially after an FooGallery plugin update. But overall we are very happy.

But recently we discovered some inconsistencies in one of our pages which uses multiple FooGalleries in Tabs. We are using this system on different pages without a problem, but we can’t seem to find why on this page the gallery won’t load in a grid, but keeps everything in a vertical line?

The affected page -> scroll down to find the gallery tabs:

Other pages with similar setup that do work:
    https://landcruisingadventure.com/shop-goodies/
    https://landcruisingadventure.com/shop-tshirts/

Please let us know what we did wrong or why it isn’t working.

Thank you for your continued help! Much appreciated.

    Adventurous greetings,
    Coen

    hey Coen,

I had a look at https://landcruisingadventure.com/shop-books/ but the gallery layout was in a grid and not in a vertical line.

One thing that I must note which could explain the behaviour you are seeing:

Foogallery stores a local “cache” of which galleries are on a page. This is stored as page meta data. We do this so we know upfront what CSS files to load in the header. It is important that the CSS is in the header so that the layout is correct when the javascript runs.

So when a gallery is updated, the page “cache” is cleared and the first time the page renders the css will be loaded at the bottom of the page which will potentially cause layout issues. But after the first load, the gallery cache is built up and saved so the next reload, the css will be included in the correct place.

Perhaps you are loading the page and it is the first time, so the layout is not correct, but when I load it, the page looks correct.

    I hope this makes sense?

    Hello Bradvin,

Hmmm, I did some testing deleted caches etc. But nothing changed much until I used a different browser. Then I came to the conclusion that when I wasn’t logged into my site I could see the grid. Then logging in, I saw everything vertical. Now after the recent update, things have changed to normal….

So, until further notice, all is well.

    Thanks for you thoughts,
    Coen
