I am getting Emails that a lockdown event has occured but the ip is actually not getting blocked. This is happening on various sites for about a month now. IP adresses can be found under failed logins but not under blocked IPs. Even if they reach the threshold.

    Hi,
What value have you set the following to?
    Time Length of Lockout (min)

It could be that the IP addresses were once actually blocked but they were released after the “Time Length of Lockout” period elapsed.

Hi, i have actually set it really high. To be exact: 99999. But even though the fault lies obviously somewhere else because i am getting emails that a lockdown event occurred but no ips are getting recorded in the lockdown list. i noticed this because i set it to lockdown invalid usernames instantly and i am getting emails with the same ip adress four or five times in a row. Which shouldn’t happen at all. Also when i checked there are three different sites of mine where no ips are getting blocked for almost four weeks now. All have had the same settings for ages.

    Hi @thomashartung,
So if you’re saying that this used to work and then suddenly stopped working recently, then it appears that something changed on your site which conflicts with this feature – for example: maybe you installed/updated another plugin/theme.

Have you tried doing a plugin/theme conflict test to see if one of those may be causing a conflict?

Have you also checked your server error logs to see if there is anything which might provide a clue to the issue you are seeing?
