  • I initially didn’t think to check the curl version in use on this account (mostly because until last week it ran a drupal ecommerce package that had no problem connecting to the paypal sandbox with the new TLS version). The OpenSSL version is out of date and cannot connect to the paypal sandbox, which explains why the connection could not be made.

Are we saying that IPN in sandbox doesn’t work but it will when fully on line?
Please let me know asap as wanting to get it working.
    Thanks

Seamless Donations 4.0.14 does not use cURL, but 4.0.15 will, as a third mechanism to connect to PayPal. Both (ssl and curl) will require more up to date encryption libraries. I’ll have more support postings on that shortly.

As for sandbox vs. production, right now, it appears PayPal is requiring TLS 1.2 for sandbox only. I’m assuming they’ll require it for production as well, so my 4.0.14 and 4.0.15 code takes that into account if they make that change.

P.S. Marking as resolved because a new release is on its way.
