iPage Hosted WordPress Site Loading Slow

Hi All,

I am almost finished building my blog (https://blindivan.com) and recently I have noticed that it is loading slow and sometimes not even loading at all. I use iPage.com as my hosting website and I have heard mixed reviews about its performance. On the other hand, I don’t think there should be an issue. My site is pretty simple and I would think it would cause speed problems.

I am using the “Constructor” theme, (a pretty well known and tested theme to my knowledge) with about 11 active plugins and 20 or so inactive plugins that I may or may not use in the near future.

I have done a little research and I have discovered a few things. Firstly, I have gathered that WP Super Cache is a good plugin to install. But after installing I quickly found out that the setting terminology was a little above my level of understanding. I was also told too many plugins could effect my performance. Lastly, I was told that my theme might need to be cleaned of any unneeded code or something. Considering the constructor theme is pretty well known and tested (once again to my knowledge) I don’t think that is where the problem is.

Does anyone know what could be causing these loading problems? And if so, do you know of possible ways to optimize my blog’s speed?
