• Major revision of site over last few weeks. Upgraded from very old WP to current. Upgraded from very old PHP to current. Twenty Sixteen Child Theme views and works fine on Chrome. Views fine on iPad Safari.

Problem: When adding new post, Safari iPad user has trouble adding “Featured Image.” Instead of normal media library, it goes to what appears to be an attempt to create and add a gallery. This happens on Post Attribute Default or new custom post templates. (Format is set to default “Standard.”)

Tried deactivating plugins, one by one. No change. (I left “Classic Editor” plugin on.) My customer sent me a screen shot of what she gets – I’ve never seen the exact screen before – not on add featured image or media insert. I don’t know if only her iPad has this problem or all Safari iPads.

During the revision, I created templates that affect where the featured image is shown but nothing that relates to selecting the featured image. Have searched and haven’t found this exact problem. Baffled, I’m sorry to say. Does this ring any alarm bells with anyone?
