Does the WP WP GDPR Compliance offer a way anonymizes IP addresses, or just it just offer a way to block the Google Analytics script?

    THANK YOU!

    ** Any insight appreciated!

I’m new to this plugin in, I have a question, where are you using the IP anon? I mean, supposed the user negate the Google Analytics Consent, there is no actually way to block it automatically, isnt’ it?

I’m not using any kind anonymization, I was actually just asking if the plugin has a way to anonymizes the IP addresses, but I don’t think it offers that, but trying to check here for sure.

There ARE other plugins that will automatically do that but no I don’t think this one will do it automatically or at all and that is what I’m trying to find out ??

You can add anonymization by extending the Analytics code. Read more about it at the Analytics documentation: IP Anonymization in Analytics

@fourwhitesocks Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think IP anonymization should be handled by a cookie consent plugin. That seems like reaching into new territory, beyond the basic functionality of cookie consent. The plugin would have to develop crucial networking stuff like that? No way.
